Meet the Team

James has an extensive background in sales, having worked for several UK and European luxury brands, including Moet & Chandon, and Rolls Royce. He’s also worked as a commercial property analyst, as well as a sales and lettings manager in London’s Docklands.
Raised and educated in Bury St Edmunds, his exceptional local knowledge and passion for architecture and historic buildings led him to establish Whatley Lane’s Bury St Edmunds branch. Outside of work, James has a passion for country pursuits, wine harvesting, marathon running, and art.

Christopher has over 40 years of senior management experience, from automotive and aerospace, to recruitment and property industries. He has spearheaded the buyout, development and restructuring of several multi-million-pound businesses. He is a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Institute of Directors, Companion of the Chartered Management Institute, and a Freeman of the City of London.

He lives in Suffolk with his wife, two dogs and cat. His interests include reading, shooting, classic cars, property investment, and fine dining.

Kat joined the Bury St Edmunds team from the Ukraine, where she ran her own sales and lettings property business. With a degree in Economics, Marketing and Management, she oversees Whatley Lane’s accounting systems, as well as helping to run the Bury St Edmunds property management division. She is also responsible for managing the company’s tree planting mission.
Outside of work, Kat enjoys swimming, yoga, and travelling.

Ava has previously worked for Liberty of London, as well as one of India’s most prestigious Polo teams: Sona Polo. She’s also worked as an estate agent in Kensington and Fulham, gaining valuable experience in property management, whilst completing training through the Association of Residential Lettings (ARLA).
She now facilitates Whatley Lane’s Lettings and Property Management division, working closely with both landlords, tenants, and USAF personnel. In her free time, Ava enjoys horse riding, climbing, and travelling. She lives near Bury St Edmunds with her two children.

A former surveyor with Ordnance Survey and District Councillor for West Suffolk specialising in rural affairs, planning and listed buildings, Peter conducts many of our viewings and offers an experienced, knowledgeable and friendly service to our prospective buyers and tenants.
